Every transport is a lifeline
Every moment is a chance to make a difference

Meet Tia
(that's me!)
Nurse. Educator. Content Creator. Yapper
Hi, I'm Tia, a Neonatal Transport Nurse with a passion for ensuring the safest, most efficient transfers for our tiniest patients. My journey towards Neonatal Transport started the moment I was hired to my Level IV NICU and learned of the existence of the Transport Team. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to mastering the critical skills needed to navigate high-stakes situations with confidence
Throughout my career I’ve transported complex cases, attended emergencies at outlying hospitals, honed my skills, and fostered a bond with my teammates. I know firsthand the challenges of transporting fragile newborns—balancing precision, speed, and composure when every second counts

You Might Know Me As @thatnursetia
If you’ve ever swiped through NICU related videos on TikTok, or scrolled the NICU hashtags on Instagram, there's a good chance you've seen me before. Those painfully relatable memes you've found yourself laughing at? I'd like to think it was one of mine
Over at @thatnursetia, I blend education with humor because let’s be real— neonatal nursing is intense, and sometimes, we all just need a good laugh (and caffeine… lots of caffeine). I believe learning should be engaging, and I bring that same energy here to the Neonatal Lifeline blog— but with no character limit (YAY!)

Why I Created Neonatal Lifeline
I started Neonatal Lifeline to be the resource I wish I had when I first stepped into Transport Nursing. Whether you’re gearing up for your first transport, looking to build confidence in the field, or just here for a mix of education, community, and maybe a little humor, you’re in the right place
Welcome— I’m excited to be part of your journey!
